Rolls Royce Science Prize

We are extremely excited to announce that Bury St Edmunds County Upper have been awarded a total of £6000 from Rolls Royce to implement a year long Science Project across the Trust schools. This is a real privilege to have achieved this prize due to the high competition to reach the annual finals.

The project will involve students from across the trust participating in monthly Enquiry themed events. The planned activities will enrich the current science curriculum, while also enhancing the students skills and understanding. Please see the What's on page for further information about the individual monthly activities.

Statement from Rani Gill from Rolls Royce
Rani Gill, Rolls-Royce, Project Manager, Science Prize, said: “Rolls-Royce has long advocated science teaching in schools. Now in its 10th year the Rolls-Royce Science Prize has encouraged teachers to improve science teaching and inspire children with exciting, intellectually stimulating and relevant science education. Bury St Edmunds has risen to the challenge and has put forward an excellent proposal. I wish them the very best in the competition.”
